Paris To Normandy Preview

Kim and I have had this trip to Paris & Normandy booked twice previously, but finally we get to go on the adventure and we're extending our adventure to London for three nights.  And as a BIG BONUS we are being joined by our great friends Bob & Pam Murray - who we met on our Portugal trip in 2019, and have since travelled to the Puget Sound and Iceland with.  Here's a break down / preview of our upcoming adventure.....

July 11

Arrive Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport – Transfer to Avalon Waterways Tapestry II Cruise Ship

Move into Panoramic Veranda Stateroom #223

July 12:  Vernon / Les Andelys

Excursion to Giverny, home of famous artist Claude Monet; second excursion to Bizy Castle.  Afternoon cruising. (1 hour / 30 min)

July 13:  Caudebec

Jumieges Abbey & The Normandy Abbey Route excursion – medieval abbeys along this legendary route.  (3 hours / 30 min)

July 14:  Normandy

Full day tour of the historic beaches on the “Memorial & Landing Beaches of Normandy” excursion.  (10 hours)

July 15:  Rouen

Tour the Rouen home of Joan of Arc.  In the medieval quarter see the astronomical clock & Notre Dame cathedral.  (1 hour / 45 min)

July 16:  Conflans

Excursion to the Palace of Versailles  (3 hours / 30 min)

July 17:  Paris

Paris City Highlights Tour  (3 hours)

July 18:  Paris to London

The cruise portion of the trip ends with a transfer to the train station with a Eurotrain trip to London

A Taste of London tour with a traditional dining experience and a night time cruise on the Thames River  (5 hours / 30 min)

July 19:  London

Tower of London & Crown Jewels Excursion  (4 hours)

July 20:  London

Warner Brothers Studio “The Making of Harry Potter” tour  (7 hours / 30 min)

July 21
